Description:
Hudson League for Service will host their annual Ice Cream Social fundraiser on the Clocktower and Gazebo Greens on Friday, June 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. The first Ice Cream Social was held in 1947 to fund high school scholarships and community grants, and the tradition continues today. Tickets are available for purchase at the Hudson Visitors Center and the Learned Owl before the event or at the event.

Led by Jonathan Shaw, McDowell Elementary Teacher, Dr. Anne Farley Schoeffler, Seton School and local educators. In this session, we will explore biomimicry. Have you ever wondered where the idea for Velcro came from or why a bullet train is shaped the way it is? When humans are inspired by nature to solve problems, that is biomimicry! We’ll investigate color, flight, feet, and wind. Target Age Range: Ages 4 – 10 years, An adult must accompany their child participants.

Safety Town has been part of the lives of Hudson youth for over 50 years. Children will be taught the proper way to cross a street, safe places to play, stranger danger, how and why to use safety belts, bus procedures, safe uses of playground equipment and much more.

This program is a must for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2026.
